The import file is a avi video with 768x576 frame aspect ratio, and I want to export to DVD (mpeg2, 720x480, 4:3).
But I got a black video and the audio remained, why?
Thanks!
Several possible reasons depending on what you are doing and with what.
768x576 is not a legal frame size for DV (768x576 is full-frame square pixel PAL frame size, which encodes to DV as 720x576 in non-square pixels). What was the origin of the source file and what CODEC was used?
Did you get timeline output in the monitor window before export? If not maybe the CODEC is not recognised by Premiere. Symptoms are that the clip will play in a clip window, but no pictures in the programme monitor.
Which version of Premiere and which MPEG converter?
Thank Akribie!
That's the problem of CODEC.
I used Indeo XP to encode source file, which is not recognised by Premiere because losing the codec after my re-installing the system and softwares.
Then I imported the source file to Adobe After Effects. Although it was the same problem, you could get the perfect video you need once you selected rendering the file not export.
