We have .mdb created in Access 2002, at comp. running 2000.

When trying to run .mdb file on computer running XP SP-2, Office 2003, we receive message: "The expression Got Focus you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: A problem occred while (command) was commmunicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control".

There are no OLE objects or ActiveX controls included.

Another computer with the same configuration opens .MDB file normally. We suppose it is the matter of Access of Office configuration.

Pop-up blocker and script blocker in McAfee are not on.

Any idea?

I had similar problem with my OfficeXP (2002) SP2.
And I couldn't figure it out what was wrong. In the end I borowed OfficeXP (I think also SP2 but not sure) from my friend, reinstaled and IT WORKED!! so, the conclusion was that something was wrong in that version of mine. This is the only problem that I found in 2yrs of using that version.
so, hope to have helped you..

greets,
