Hi all,

What is the simplest way to reset the main system password ? - I have taken over a system from a disgruntled ex-employee,I do have a recent config file - is it possile to try and 'scam' the password out of the file, or is it not possible.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Greg.

Sorry, forgot to add - if I do have to perform a system reset - is it a straightforward process

Thanks.

You can use a program from snadboys called revalation do a search, not sure of the site name, just need to open offline and all will be revealed

experimentalot - you are an absolute legend !

Thanks very much for that I will give it a try. :-)

Ok, That worked like a dream - thanks very much.

I have one other issue, I cannot get into the phone manager application as I do not know the administrator password, is it possible to reset this ? - I can now view the unit config via the wizard in online mode.

Again, your help is much apreciated and getting me out of a sticky situation fast :-)

Just reinstall Manager (I assume you mean Manager not Phone Manager) and you will be off to the races.

Thanks Peter, so by doing this I wont cause any destruction to the main config, and the administrator user/pass is local to the management pc ?

Thanks

Greig.

Just log in with a lower standard password and you can use snadboys to see the manager password.

ok, Thanks for that, ill give it a try ! Cheers

Greig. :-)

monstermuncher correct, the Administrator login is local to the manager PC but the config is stored on the IPO itself, so yes you can fearlessly reinstall manager.

That being said I like big70's solution even better - less work :-)
