A list box with check boxes in it. Anyone?

I need a list box with check boxes in it. Does anyone know how to do this. A grid won't help really. I'm not scrolling a table I'm displaying logical status'. I already have the 2 column list The left side currently is description, the right side is Y or N. It would be much nicer if the right side were check boxes.
Also, is it possible to make the two columns different backcolors in the list box.

As an alternative, consider using a listview with checkboxes. It works well and is not too difficult.
