NO
Looking back on posts from last winter, many asked for tips on configuring VMPro menus with irregular opening hours and remote access the recording menus.

One of my customers runs a ski resort, where the different departments open and close as they please (they have multiple jobs to attend to).

I find if immensely annoying to listen through a menu, only to discover that my choice is closed after selecting that option.
So, I have created a brilliant call flow for them, removing the prompts from the menu when the destination is unavailable.

You want it? Here is the complete setup, with wavs, mods, cfg: Auto Menu

If you like it,

Enjoy!

Kind regards

let me be the first one to give you some pink here.
not sure if I like it really because I have not had a detailed look at it yet but the effort it took is worth a few stars

Well, it's an intricate build, but it works!

The main purpose was to have as few modules/menues as possible.
Building a menu for every possible scenario on a 5 option menu = 125 menues.

I got it down to 2 [smile]

Thank's Westi [smile]

Kind regards

without looking at your build you must have used route by call status to determine the hunt group state.

Thats how I would have done it.

Actually no.

I used 2 Generics per HG in an inserted module:

Box 1: Change User or Group... / Get / "HG name" / Service Mode 0,1,2 / $SAV
Box 2: Set CPxx Value / 1 / $SAV (repeat as many as you need, increase CP with 1 for each)

0 - Out of Service
1 - In Service
2 - Night Service

So, the prompt wave file is <dial-x>1.wav, but the in the prompt list I put in <dial-x>$CP1.wav.
VMPro won't find any file to play unless the CP# is 1, skipping to the next prompt,<dial-y>$CP2.wav

You could also make prompts for 0 and 2 as well, following after In Service prompts has been played.
<dial-x>2.wav "Our <Option name> is now closed, opening hours are...blah, blah"
<dial-x>0.wav "Our <Option name> is currently out of service, we will be back next year"

I kept it simple, leaving out the last bit in the module. I'll upload the extended version tomorrow[smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar

I got the extended version configured, just need to record the eng wavs and write a doc for it.

Kind regards
