I am trying to do the following and getting an error message, I am guessing brackets in the wrong place but am completely stumped. Can anyone help please?

=D6-(D10:D12)

It depends on what the error message actually is ... care to enlighten us all?

Cheers, Glenn.

Actually I have figured it out, someone had given me wrong information. The formula was =D6-SUM(D10:D12). So we had a figure and we wanted to know what it would be minus range, but they had sort of told me back to front :)

I should have spotted that, but without knowing the actual error message, I didn't even look ( always give full information in a posting ). I'm glad you figured it out :)

Cheers, Glenn.
