Hey all,

I've just started using Macromedia Flash 5, and so far I've understood enough to get by for now.

Just a few things I've wondered are...

I have 3 layers, one containing a person on my movie. I have two objects, one is the person, and another is the person holding another object. The entire body of the person is grouped, and the item he is holding is grouped within the group of the person. But the problem is, how do I shift which object is behind the other?

Also, is there a way to do tweens with fading in/out the alpha of an object without turning it into a symbol? Like a cloud becoming less dense, and easier to see through. Symbols don't let you change it unless you want to change the entire thing.

Thanks a ton.

1. Hold down Ctrl and press the up or down arrows to move the depths of objects up and down (you may have to ungroup the objects forst then regroup them)

2. Just use a semi transparent fill - select the area you want to see through, then in the 'color mixer' panel select the fill and alter the alpha level on the right hand side of the panel.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply. Can the transparancy of the object be tweened while it is not a symbol?

Also, Ctrl + up and down didn't work for changing which object is in front of the other, even after ungrouping.
