Hi there,

I'm studying the possibility of using CVS so I'm trying to gather as much information as I can. Here follows some questions:

1- Is there any limitation regarding files size, like 100 mb being the limit ??? <-- Very Important !!!

2- What kind of issue might exist when one tries to commit a binary file ???

3- How does WinCVS deals with Branching and Merges ???

4- Did you ever tried to use CVS with a Change Management tool, like IBM Rational ClearQuest ???

5- Is there any tool for Administrators of CVS ???

Thanks in advance ... ;)

I will answer your second question:
You can have binary files in a CVS, and it will work with no problems. First difference is that when doing cvs diff you wont see a clear diff like in a text file and just, a file differs (or something like that). Also, no merges.
The last thing is that for each version of the file, a copy will be kept in the CVS, so more space will be taken.
