I have a created a few websites that use php and mysql on the back end. To me a 10mb database is massive.

I am interested to find out amongst you what is the biggest mysql database you have worked on before or seen?

What is the biggest table size you have seen or worked?

Has the data inside the table ever broken it before, and how did you repair it?

I have a table over 3GB in size; absolutely no problems with it, ever. If it ever did get corrupted, I would first try to repair it using the standard MySQL tools, then restore it from backup if necessary.

The largest MySQL DB I have is about 3.7GB. The largest table is actually in another DB at around 800MB with 1.7GB index file, holding a bit over 23M records. This is on MySQL 4.0.

How do you restore a database of these sizes obviously phpmyadmin is out of the question?

If you have access to the server filesystem, you would use standard backup/restore tools.
