A facility that allows my client to upload images onto his html-css website as administrator ?

the website has been hand coded in html uses stylesheets - its not CMS enabled. I have been at loss to figure out the best way for him, to be able to add images onto a 'gallery' page on this website - clearly this implies some sort of facility whereby he can log in as an administrator and upload images into the gallery.

Idealy this thing should have pagination as scrolling down to view images is not user friendly.

the alternative is to build him a new website entirely on joomla, a platform that ive only started to get my head around - and ive chosen joomla as my first CMS to play around and learn with.

He is not computer savvy and would require something very easy to use that would let him add images onto the gallery page of the website.

Is there any software otu there that allows for this ?

let me know folks.

I recommended ZenPhoto - I haven't tried the others in the link Chris posted, though. ZenPhoto uses CSS so you can customise it to have the same look and feel as the rest of the site, you can set up individual user accounts, and photos can be uploaded using a web interface or via FTP.
