Hi,
I encountered a strange problem.

Environment:
A: windows 2000 pro_en + sp4
ISA firewall client installed

Symptom:

At first I installed the ISA firewall client alll can work well. I can ping any computer from A. And I can ping A from any computer.
A few days later, A can ping any computer however any computer cannot ping A.

What is wrong with it?

Best Regards.

Can any PC ping A when the The firewall client is disabled?

The firewall client can be disabled in the control panel, and can also be disabled by right clicking it and selecting disable or by double clicking it and un-checking the enable check box. (close all applications that are using the Winsock or firewall capability before disabling)

After I installed the Firewall client, any computer can ping A.
Just some days later, Any computer cannot ping A.Even I disable firewall client it cannot work. However others which have installed firewall client can work well

You might want to try flushing your ARP table. I believe you can do this in windows 2000; go to the properties of my network places and right click on your local area connection. Click repair. This will flush the arp and any stuck or remembered routes will be gone. This fixed a similar issue with my firewall.

Dear Rondey,

I cannot find the "repair" option.
Do you mean that I should reinstall the driver?
I have tried to reinstall driver however it cannot work also.

Best Regards.
