A border around the detail section of a report

Hi I am trying to put a border around the detail section of a Purchase order. No lines in between, just around the entire section. When I put horizontal lines the height of the detail section, it shows in the report with large gaps. Is there a trick to this that I am missing? I need it to appear as one long line. Please help.

Dawn, you might be able to set a rectangle in the detail section, and in the section's ON PRINT event, reset the HEIGHT property of the rectangle to just a little bit less than the HEIGHT of the detail section. I'd test it here but my home copy of Access is a bit gnarled right now and it's 2 AM anyway...

I figured out that if I make the detail section "Can Grow" = No and "Can Shrink" = no, it seems to work. The only problem is the bottom border doesn't seem to connect up too well. I will have to give your suggestion a try. Thanks again for your help.

I was assuuming a variable-depth detail section.. I guess if you FIX its size, you should be able to place a rectangle around it with no problem...
