I have a NT 4 Server box running IIS. The CPU utilization is at a constent 99%. The issue is the CISVC.EXE in the task manager. Is this a IIS service or a NT service? Do not want to stop it without knowing the issues. I am thinking it is the Content Index but not sure.

Below is a snip from

Process File: cisvc or cisvc.exe
Process Name: Microsoft Index Service Helper
Description: The Microsoft Index Service Helper monitors the memory usage of Microsoft Indexing Service (cidaemon.exe) and automatically restarts cidaemon.exe if it uses more than 40Mb of memory
Common Errors: N/A
System Process: No

Wolf2x,

Thanks, just what I was looking for. I take it, it is no big issue so I will stop the service as I do not use index service
