Hi has anyone been able to set up 988 on their pbx? I can not add the SPN of 88 since we have NXX's as I am sure so does everyone else. I tried acd to phantom out to the 800 number for 988 but fast busy. I think the only way is with SPN 88 set up since 9 is our ac1 to dial out.

Are you able to collect a listing from the TTY port and run it via the attached file to view all your outgoing call configuration in excel format.

It should be easy enough to see your references to "8" or "88" etc.

Then your options are to delete any conflicts and add them back in again with "88" set to point to a new RLB etc.

Thanks for the reply. I outed all the nxx entries from 880-889. The I was able to build 88 as a SPN with a DMI inserting the 9, but it is still not working. Built the same as 911 now, but no good.

I'm not familiar with the USA dialing plan. If it was doing the changes, then I would have done a new DMI to delete 2 digits and insert 911.

Dial plans can be confusing to understand.
Your AC1 code is "9" and that number is the initial first digit dialled.

Would I be correct in thinking that the full number that the user dials is 9 88?

When 88 is next pressed, those two numbers need to be deleted. Inserting 911 in the chosen DMI will mean that 911 is added making the full number dialled out as 988 from the extension, but the actual number called after the AC1 code of "9" is 911.

Yes we want them to dial the same way they would dial 911, we just want them to be able to dial 988. I have the DMI deleting 0 and inserting the 9 since it is stripped off for the ac1.

as area codes that contain NXX that cash with 988 in general the carriers were moving to only accept 10 digit dialling so I would say you have probably gone with the easiest option.

Other than that you could put it in ESA which should grab it before it goes to AC1. The other way is change AC1 to something else and use numberzones and zfdp ahead of your SPNs that way you can best case match (send 9 to SPN and send 988 to ESDN or CDP to steering code).
