In my 2k professional I can see my windows 98's file by 'run \\98win\C$'. From my windows 98 when I try 'run \\2kprof\C$' it wont let me connect to 2k professional and ask for password for 2kprof, but I didn't set up any password for 2k professional. Windows 98 PC and 2000 Professional are connected through hub. Please help, Thanks.

C$ is a hidden share, it is only for login information, create another share (C). Log into your w98 machine using windows networking client, and a password... then on your w2k pro (I am assuming), have a user there with the same name.. when the person connects, they will be asked for a password, type in their password. Then everything should work.

On 2k pro I created user which is the computer name on 98 under administrator group. When I enter the password on 98 to connect 2k pro. It says 'password not correct'. Please help, thanks.
