9730 problem with dlt7000

What scsi card are you now using? What one before? Have you checked that the new drive is compatible to the SCSI card? There are so many reasons, that I do not want to sit here all day writing questions, but just changing the drive is probably not enough........also, was the new drive from STK or just a drive?
