Hi ,

I'm trying to connect an external 9611 and 9620 to my system.
I did all the usual port forwards, 1720 tcp, 1719 udp and the rtp range.
I also enables the extenal extension on the system and the user.

The phone seem to want to connect but the 9611g hangs on Discover 69.47.xxx.xxx . and the 9620 cyles on registering and the home screen .

I was wondering about the ICMP ? i can seem to forward thatto in my router but i dont know what type avaya uses so i wonder if thats my issue..

Any ideas?

The system is IPO 9.0.2.0. on a netgear srx5308

Thanks

You'll also need the RTP port range forwarded.

Do you have a VPN endpoint capable firewall? The phones as VPN client work flawlessly, and in my experience "Remote Extensions" are finicky at best.

What VPN concentrator do you recommend? I've had my share of problems with these remote worker telephones.

yeah i did the rtp range too..
I have done the VPN before however i find the VPN client only works with certain firewalls and the programming of them is a pain in the but on certain firewalls that's why i wanted to do it by port fwd .

We use Cisco ASA 5505s everywhere, 5512s when needed.

I hear the Watchguard boxes are great, and fairly straightforward to set up.
