Is there a way to change the VPN settings on a 9650 phone without having to clear the phone each time and then upload a new 46xxsettings.txt file?

What did you set as iprange in the mode config ?
What did you set as local ip range ?

Ok I am at a loss here to what you are asking
Sorry for a blonde moment

On the router you must set an iprange in the option "mode config"

Also you have to set the local iprange (in this case 192.178.2.0) and a subnet mask.

This is what I have in my 46xxsettings.txt file

SET NVVPNMODE 1
SET NVVPNSVENDOR 1
SET NVVPNCFGPROF 5
SET NVIKECONFIGMODE 1
SET NVIKEIDTYPE 2
SET NVIKEXCHGMODE 1
SET VPNPROC 2

SET NVVPNAUTHTYPE 4
SET NVXAUTH 1

SET NVSGIP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

SET NVIKEID fvx_remote
SET NVIKEPSK xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
SET NVVPNPSWDTYPE 1
SET NVVPNUSER IP_Phone
SET NVVPNCOPYTOS 2
SET NVVPNENCAPS 0
SET NVIKEDHGRP 2
SET NVIKEP1ENCALG 2
SET NVIKEP2ENCALG 2
SET NVIKEP1AUTHALG 2
SET NVIKEP2AUTHALG 2
SET NVPFSDHGRP 2
SET MCIPADD 192.168.2.82

Take a look in the router.

On the Juniper we had to set 192.168.2.0/24 on the mode config to get the tunnel up, I assume you are refering to the Proxy ID settings

No i mean page 6 of the doc that avaya has made for the 338.

I will have to ask the Juniper Pro about that, he has left Yet again.

Will get back to you later, if not today then have a great weekend

Juniper ?
It is a Netgear router.

Did you guys followed the manual ?
I have had setup the 336v2 and a 9620 within 10 minutes by using the manual.

Nope this is a Juniper, with a network from hell behind it

Don't forget to turn on the gatekeeper in the data LAN. I just suppose you have a voice LAN and a data LAN which did not serve for voice until now.
