IP500V2 R9.0 SP5 IP Office doing DHCP

Had a 9641 that got stuck on waiting for LLDP. Other 9641’s at install DHCP’d normally.

Statically assigned new 9641 and it worked.

Took 9611 that the 9641 replaced, cleared settings, installed. DHCP normal. Phone came up normal.

The only thing I can see different is the original phones that were installed have different MAC addresses than the new ones.
104 and 115 are the new with mac addresses 34-75-C7-xx-xx-xx. Other MAC addresses start with c0-57-bc or b4-47-5e

Anyone else have this happen?

What is the software load on the units which work and did not work?

If you get a Waiting for LLDP message it means that the phone is missing crucial data like the MCIPADRR or FILESRV Address which should be given by the DHCP server using the scope option 242.
Another issue may be a ARP problem in a switch, connect the phone to another switch or reload the ARP tables in the switches ( reboot is also a option )

IP Office is doing DHCP. Most everything on LAN1 tab is default. IP range set to hand out 50 IP Adresses. Only 32 phones.
46xxsettings file is default. Phones upgraded to 6.3116 normally.

Gwebster 6.3116 for all phones on system

intrigrant error on phone is cannot find call server before waiting for LLDP. Have not tried to reboot network switch. Did try different port on switch though.

I should have wrote :

Do you have two DHCP servers? IP Office and M$Windoze? If so then I am surprised only one phone gives this error...

Make sure that the voice VLAN is not assigned to the data VLAN DHCP server port.

Sometimes people do a sweep and just tag the VOIP vlan on all the switch ports. Make sure that the DHCP server's switch port is ONLY untagged in the data (or whatever) VLAN.

New England Communications

Sure that is the problem but VLANs are never mentioned so I assumed that can't be the issue.
Nevertheless another star for JayNEC although the last three characters are not done here....
