I have been trying to get the wideband codec 722-64K to work for some 9640 sets and keep getting G.711. I have modified codec setting configurations with G-722-64K first followed by G.711, changed network-region and network-maps for the proper codec settings. Test calls between 2 9640's still use G.711 codec-what am I missing?

You didn't specify what version of CM you have, or what version of 9600 firmware you have. Kind of hard to guess without knowing anything about the enironment.

Mitch672,

We are running CM 5.01 firmware rel 3.0 on the 9600 phones.

phoneguy55,

How can I check if 9600 phones are talking thru Medpro's? I have IP hairpinning and direct intra and inter-region IP to IP audio enabled in network regions where phones are registered.

dignoffo, that codec is a phone to phone codec and you won't see it show up when you status your station if you are using a medpro. When you status one of the stations on an active call you want to go to the next to last page, I would say page 7 or 6 but that varies with CM versions. One of the pages will draw out your talk path showing you IP addresses involved an that will show you what is involved in your phone conversation.
