Is there any way to modify how many buttons are shown on the screen at once? Out of the box it just lists the buttons programmed in a vertical list, requiring the user to scroll to get to a some commonly used buttons. Is there a way to change the buttons to more of a grid like the 9508 screen?

Yes you can add the quick touch lines which will give you 2 rows of buttons on the bottom of the display. Find this in the Features/Phone User/Phone Screen menu and look for Quick Touch Lines.
