I have an IPO 8.0 and we are installing a 9620 IP set. The extension and user are built but when we boot the set it only wants us to enter the CRAFT menu options. Looking on page 26 and so on of thje knowledge base documents is not telling me much other than what each item has in it. If I did not want to have this programmed statically and it is set for DHCP yes then why isnt it asking for a passcode for the login of the user? Any help appreciated.

Is it getting the DHCP, where is it getting the DHCP from. You need to make sure it is at least connected to the network with an IP address before it will do anything. After getting the * to program screen it should show you the screen that says it is looking for DHCP, if it get that then it will try to download the files it needs then try to connect to the IPO. Start with DHCP as this is the beginning of the process.

Thanks for the reply. In fact under the advance options the range was set to 1. I am not sure who set this up initially but they must have removed the pool range once the sets were up but the 1 address in the pool was taken. once I increased the range it worked.
