Can anyone let me know the full code for resetting the 9620 phones?

Hi

fw 1.0, 1.1:
<MUTE> R E S E T #
fw 1.2
<MUTE> C R A F T # and then navigate the menu to find "RESTART".

jimtr

thanks for the reply, the craft menu option you gave doesnt let you navigate to restart, it justs restarts after the hash command, how do you get into the craft menu as this is where we need to be to get the phone working again i believe

is the 9620 working on firmware 1.2??
i have this fw on my 9620s and whenever i give <MUTE> CRAFT#, i get the craft menu where you have several options like "ADDR" for changing the ip addresses, "RESTART PHONE" , "RESET VALUES" etc.

Does anyone know how to configure the backup/restore feature on a 96xx phone? Is this through http? Because I tried it with the TFTPSRVR option in my scope option 242, but it seems that the phone isn't doing anything with it! And I can't find any related documentation on it!!! Many thanks!!!! :)

I am sure it has to be HTTP and not tftp but as you say there isnt much documentation.

to be correct: I meant offcourse backup through FTP. ;-)
But as far as I can lookup it must be indeed HTTP. But it seems that the fileserver which is acting as fileserver (firmware, settings file) can't be used as backup/restore server. Because it is conflicting each other with incoming and outgoing files?? Anyone had some experience? I will be implementing this tomorrow. So all info is welcome.

We are using 1 server for all.

You use HTTP for firmware, settingsfile and backup.

Don,t forget to change your settings for HTTP backup in your 46xxsettings.txt because its diffrent.

###### 46xx Automatic Backup/Restore Settings ########

## A value of 0 disables Backup/Restore.
##
## FTPUSERSTAT sets user permissions on modifications to

##
## When FTPUSERSTAT is set to 0, the user can only use the
## server and path data administered via DHCP or settings
## file.
##
## When FTPUSERSTAT is set to 1, the user can specify
## alternative FTP servers or directory paths. The default
## is 1.
##
## When FTPUSERSTAT is set to 2, the user can specify
## alternative FTP directory paths but is not allowed to
## specify alternative FTP servers.
##
## FTPSRVR specifies the IP Address of the default FTP
## Server. May be a dotted-decimal address or DNS string.
## Depending on FTPUSERSTAT setting, may be overridden by
## the user.

## storage and retrieval of phone user information.

Ok, this should get me on the road! ;-)
Have you guys also found out where those settings can be viewed on the phone set? Because with the 46xx it was in the options menu ... but in the 96xx I can't find those things.
