I got some 9611G sets with SIP firmware preloaded on them, I assume for CM/Aura. I pointed the phones to my HTTP server with the correct 96x1Hupgrade.txt and the correct tar files, but nothing seems to have changed. I have played with the setting in CRAFT but no luck getting the IPO H323 firmware loaded.
Any suggestions out there?

Rename the 96x1Supgrade.txt to 96x1Hupgrade.txt
Look for the S and the H in the filenames.
It is probably looking for the S file but it will pull the other one fine if renamed.
Try one first as it is a while ago when i tried this.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

AFAIK you have to set the value of SIG to SIP in CRAFT menu to let the phone load 96x1Hupgrade.txt

Correction to derfloh, set the value of SIG to H.323 in the CRAFT menu to let the phone load 96x1Hupgrade.txt. If you set it to SIP, it will load 96x1Supgrade.txt.

I've seen 96xx handsets that simply will not come off SIP firmware no matter what you do, I think some hosting companies flash a custom firmware to them, and then they end up on eBay :)

That is why i renamed the file.
