Hello

I am trying to get a 9611G to be a VPN handset. The phone is enabled for VPN and it accepts the VPN settings, but when the phone boots up it comes up with IKE phase 1 error.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

You really need to look at the logs on the firewall side. It's probably a mismatch in the phase 1 proposals though.

After you get phase 1 working then you have the joy of getting phase 2 negotiated!

Thank you JayNEC

The funny thing is the 4610's work fine on CM but the 9611G's dont want to play ball.

Should be the exact same settings between the two. Your PSK might be wrong if you're doing it via the handset, it's a real pain there. You can set it via the 46xxsettings.txt file too, and you know it will be correct there.

Ive noticed though at no time have I been asked for Callserver settings nor fileserver settings. Is that right?

Those aren't part of the VPN stuff anyway therefore won't cause it to fail. But yeah you need to manually input callserver and fileserver.
