Hi!

I have a problem with BM24-modules attached to 9608 sets: The BM24 actually show the names of the users and the buttons are useable as direct call buttons but they don't show the status (busy / ringing) of the users. Also the font is very tiny (compared to CM).
Product description says that this combination should work.
Tried with R7.0.5.

Is it a bug or am I missing something?

Are you using the Dial feature or the User feature? You should use User.

It's a user button.
A BM12 works with the same config.

I have seen this in the Beta's and the buttons stopped working well after a reboot of the ipo.
Try to disconnect the phone and reconnect it again.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

System rebooted, phone dis- and reconnected - same thing...
Somewhere I read that the BM's also have a firmware. Is it possible that the firmware isn't up to date? There is only one kind of BM24 module (for 96xx) for IPO and CM, right?

Has anybody actually seen this working?

I have seen it working but i had issues with it but that was on the first 7.0 beta version.

Thanks for the replies.
I think I'll open a support case at Avaya.

Have a moment, i am going to try it now.

I have the same issue as you describe.
Within monitor you can use a tool called DSS status.
That little tool shows all programmed buttons on a phone and that tool shows the right info.
So it is not an IPO issue.

Phone- or BM24-firmware then?
Still a problem of the IPO developers - isn't it?

I am not sure if the SBM24 has firmware.

Yes it is so you should raise a case.

Update:
Avaya regards this as a documentation bug.
SBM24 are NOT supported on 9608 & 9641.
They just will modify the according manuals.
