We have diagnosed the issue with the 9608 VPN Phone firmware.
Utilizing the generic pre-shared key method - IKE Phase 1 completes correctly.
In the IKE Phase 2 – the phone is sending and inverted protected network address “IPV4_ADDR” to the VPN firewall causing phase 2 failure.
(i.e. protected network 10.10.10.0/24 becomes inverted 0.10.10.10)
I’m sure Tier 4 has it under control – but wanted to provide some feedback from field.

Been that way since they were released which is part of the reason they were withdrawn from sale.

I noticed this too.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Was the 9608 ever officially supported for VPN firmware on IP Office?

Nope.
That is why they made the new "remote worker" option because the 9608 is a nice phone.

They did it to make money actually, if it was free to all users (like the competition) then that may have been the case :)

In 46xxsetting.txt
SET NVVPNMODE 1
SET VPNPROC 2

Now i can't disable the VPN mode, the phone always boots on vpn mode whatever config i'll give him.. i tried removing the 2 lines in 46xxsettings.txt, but still booting on vpn .
is there anything guys i can do to undo the vpn mode ?
Thanks

Code:
SET NVVPNMODE 1

This enables the VPN mode

Code:
SET VPNPROC 2

This gives you the option to enter the VPN settings and turning it on or off.

You must press the mute button and type vpn or craft.

Craft gives you access to all settings and vpn only to the vpn options.
