9608 SIP phone SM 7.1.3 auto logout

Hi everyone,
I've just upgraded my system from CM 6.3 to CM 7.1.3, SMGR 6.3 to SMGR 7.1.3, SM 6.3 to SM 7.1.3. Currently all SIP Phone 9608 auto logout after 4 hours and must manual register to login again. I try running with firmware 9608 sip at version 7.0.1 and 6.4.1.25.

Please help me solve it, thank all so much.

what does SET SIP CONTROLLER LIST in your 46xx say?
 
6.4.1 is from Aug 2014, 7.0.1 is from May 2016. Aura 7.1.3 came out in May 2018. Upgrade your 9608 to a more current release (7.1.6 is the latest) as a first step.
 
Hi Kyle555, I dont change anything from 46xx file. I downloaded from support.avaya then upgrade for 9608 sip phone but when i make it with 7.1.x SIP firmware version on the phone display "Empty sip proxy server", i access to configure via "program" soft key when phone reboot but i dont see the SIG or SIP tab for configure SIP proxy server. Then i can not login with sip account to 9608 SIP Phone.

HI Gwebster, Do i need upgrade CM, SM, SMGR to 7.1.6 or i only upgrade firmware for SIP Phone 9608 to 7.1.6? But im having a issue with upgrade firmware for 9608 SIP Phone. With 7.1.x version SIP Phone after upgraded the phone display Empty sip proxy server, i cannot login with SIP account.

If I read your first post correctly, you have 9608 SIP phones that worked fine on 6.3 and now logout after 4 hours on 7.1.3. Is that correct?

Logging out means the phone drops the user/pass that it had. A phone will do that for only a few reasons and one of them is receiving a 404 from a server. So, if you have other servers in the SM Profile in System Manager for that user, or if the SIP CONTROLLER LIST has other IPs of SIP servers that are not configured for your users, then it is very likely the phone will try to register to those servers - because SMGR or the 46xx file told it to do so - and when the phone gets a 404, it logs out from all servers and drops the user/password.

Yes, the phone 9608 auto logout at version software 7.1.3 of CM, SM, SMGR. Now the phone logout after 2 days when i redeploy SM from profile 1 to profile 2 for admin max 4500 end users. But the log trace during some period of time, the phone does only send REGISTER message without Authorization header and ASM responded ‘401 Unauthorized ’

This issue only appear with 9608 phones.

Uppercase sip domain was used. The SIP domain was configured in capital letters.
The sipdomain configured in system manager and on the sip phone under SIP Global settings: SIP Domain: ABC.COM
Solution
Use lowercase for sipdomain.
Configure the SIP domain in lowercase letters. example: abc.com

SIP domain in system manager and the sip phone using in lowercase letters. The SIP Phone running on Avaya E129, or 1608 hard phones did not logout. The issue only with 9608 hard phone.
