9608 remote extn. stuck in discovery 1

I have every port unblocked to the IP OFFICE.
i am using DHCP at remote location on 9608 phone.
phone shows even after a factory default, ext.233 on 3 buttons on the right. just for a few seconds then goes to registering, discovering, then repeat. the extn i am registering is 220. am I going crazy?

Can you ping the public IP from a pc and get a response, if not, that's why. A few other things to double check. Also, when you defaulted it, you did a CRAFT Reset?

Is this information filled out correctly

yes to everything except:

when you say craft reset, i went in craft and did CLEAR.

in topology i left everything blank or default except public ip which i populated myself with the host system public ip.( tried to do STUN but no stun servers i found would allow me to click the RUN STUN Button. it stayed grayed out.

firewall type is set to open internet

ip route for now is 0.0.0.0 plus my sub and gateway on site.

try changing the Firewall Type to Static Port Block

also, on the craft menu do a Reset. this will erase everything so you can put it in from scratch, clear doesnt do that

FYI....when you CLEAR it will erase everything, when you RESET, some settings will still be there like contacts and other user information.

Glad your are fixed, I've had this issue where a reset/clear didn't fix it and I had to swap the phone, for some reason the 9608 wouldn't pull an IP from the correct VLAN.
