I have a company logo displaying on our 9620's when these are inactive for a while, but the logo won't display on our new 9608G's.

Could that be because these need a different layout/size or whatever ?

Anybody know what the requirements are for these sets ?
Link?

go off the 9610
. During boot-up the telephone checks for the file named in the system parameter
SCREENSAVER. If found, that file is checked for valid jpeg format, and to verify
that the screen saver image height and width do not exceed the applicable full
screen pixel count of 160x160 for a 9610, 160x320 for a 9620, or 320x240 for a
9630, 9640 or 9650, or 480x640 for a 9670G IP Telephone.

Mij image is within limits, but it just won't show - I'll have a look alt the 46xxsettings.txt again...

It can be finnicky. If you have access to an IP Office, grab the default image off its memory card and edit it in mspaint.

There's always something about small details in the jpg format you have to match exactly for the phone to actually use it.

The name of the file needs to match exactly and try to reboot the phone a couple of times , when the phone boots do you actually see the screen mention your file (as it should do ) , if you dont see the file name during boot process something else is incorrect.

According to 46xxsettings.txt - screensaver logo not supported by 9608....

Pfffff.....

## SCREENSAVER specifies the filename of a JPEG image to be used as a customized screen saver.
## Valid values are 0 through 32 ASCII characters; the default value is null ("").
## 96x1 H.323 R6.0 and later
## 96x0 H.323 R2.0 and later, but not supported by the 9610
## SET SCREENSAVER filename

"96x1" is a generic term for the 9601 (which is SIP only), 9608, 9608G, 9611G, 9621G, and 9641G.

OK, thanks everyone - got it working, different logo's for 9620's and 9608's, specified in their own section in 46xxsettings.txt

Trying different sizes now to get the best result.

It works on 9608 but looks like crap =)

9608 has 181 x 120 pixel resultion compared to 9620s 320 x 160 pixels.
Had a customer change to 9611s since it looked much better and was in color =)

Depends on what the logo looks like.
Ours turns out ok - it's like a round 'bouncing ball'
Bit rough round the edges, but still....

I have the same problem in my environment, are you using SIP or H323? we are using 9608 with SIP 6.5 now.

as per Avaya, the screensaver on 9608SIP is supported through the parameters "Logos" and "Current_Logo" not the "screensaver" parameter.

I tried multiple resolutions, cleared the phone and used earlier versions of SIP with no luck.

any help on this would be appreciated.

9608G on H323 works fine displaying the logo, so I guess it's a SIP-firmware thing....
