All,

Does anyone know when the new Avaya phones (9608, 9611G, 9621G, and 9641G) will be out working on the Avaya IP Office?

they work on 6.1 now. I have a 9641 that i use. they may have pulled support on them because of some bugs but they do work.

Great - thanks Kevin. I don't see anything printed about support on those phones - so I guess use them at your own risk and hope the bugs don't cause serious issues.

BTW - what firmware do they download? Just the standard 96xx files? or are there new specific 9611/21/41 files with R6.1?

There are some .tar files in 6.1 Manager for those phones but not the 9641 :)

The 9641 uses the same files as the 21. mine here works great i have not had any bugs or issues with it yet. had it for maybe 3 weeks.

The files on 6.1.5 are buggy.
I think kevin uses the latest files which are newer and better.
I have all four running on the older firmware and I have all kind of issues.
The 9611 needs a *00 once ina while othrwise it stops working.
The 9621 reboots all the time :)

the best one is the 9608.

I will upgrade them and see if it is better which I think it will be.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

The 96x1's that dint mmake it into 6.1 will be supported before 7.0. ESCEPT for the 9611, which will not even make it for the 7.0 release.

The 9611 should be supported on 7.0
the issue with it is that the buttons do not match the screen.
I cannot imaging that they cannot fix this in 3 months!!!
