I have seen this error a couple of times in the past, just don't remember what or how. We are connecting a couple 9608's to an R11 system. Using static IP's for the phones. The phones seem to connect and even update firmware, but then goes to the screen that says "Discover 192.168.0.100", which of course is the Avaya control unit. These are on the same LAN and subnet as the control unit.

any thoughts??

I would try pinging the phone from system status make sure the system can ping that IP.

Can you give an example of the IP/Subnet/Router/Call Server/HTTP server you have entered into a phone.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

@Z-man - not sure if this relevant as I'm more of a phone guy and learning the Network side, however I ran into a similar problem when I was mucking around with VLANS.... Don't rely on this though as I'm not 100 per cent sure. @Critchey knows his stuff.

Thanks, Tim
