9508 Please Wait...

New 9508 Phone stuck with "Please Wait..." on the screen.

I should probably setup http but wondering how long I should wait before I reboot the IPO?

Don't want to mess up the firmware on the phone if I can help it.
 
It is a digital phone which use tftp.

I wasn't sure of the 9508 went to http like the 9600's or not.

I had manager open so TFTP was available.

I just rebooted the phone and it came up fine.
 
I have had a similar problem.

I had an install with 55 phones and two of the 9508's won't upgrade. It just says please wait. If I plug a phone that did upgrade and then plug the non working one back in it will work. If the system reboots it goes back to please wait so I had to replace with two new phones that upgraded no problem.

I have tried moving the phones to different ports and they the still won't upgrade and have tried from the memory card, manager and a third party tftp server.

Any ideas?
 
Long shot but maybe the later 7.0.23 manager may help. I just had two combo cards that wouldn't come up on 7.0.5 and had to download the 7.0.23 bins and point my working directory to it to upgrade. The combo cards came right up. In my case, the PCS level of the new combo cards was higher than the rest of the setup. Perhaps it's something like that???
