First, the specs: IP Office 500V2, DS-8 cards, Analog trunks, Essential edition, embedded VM, 9508 phones. System is running 9.0.3.0 941 and customers complain that voicemails get cut off sometimes in mid-message. I had read that that was common in 9.0.3 SO I decided to downgrade to 9.0.2.0 860, as I have a couple of systems running that with no issues. Using upgrade wizard, I performed the downgrade and all went smoothly, until plugging in my phones. They all show Please Wait and sit there. Did I do something wrong? Once I upgrade back to 9.0.3, they came back up and work fine. I even tried going down to 9.0.0 and got the same result. Is it because the 9508 phone firmware was upgraded under the 9.0.3? On the display other than please wait, it says rel .55 5/12/13.
OR, do I just need to take it up to 9.0.5 or .6 and be done?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

Under system, what do you have phone file server type set to? if its set to Manager then Manager has to be running on the PC that is connected to the system.

It's set to the SD card. Tried it set to manager with the same outcome.

Do you see in system monitor what files are requested?

Sorry for the late reply, derfloh. Have not tried that. I did, however, find a solution. Since this was an inactive unit, I was able to default the config, reload the license keys, and start it fresh. Then, downgrade to 9.0.2.x and the phones came up and worked fine. I was then able to build a basic config and test.
