This was asked to me by one of the data people. Can someone please tell me how to check for this setting?

thanks

"Can you please tell me if the VOIP taffic and the traffic from the 9150s are marked with DSCP EF?

I'm fairly certain a Reach Line Card (RLC) and Remote Office 9150 combo does not use QoS's DSCP (DiffServ Code Point). I think it is straight up TCP.

Although, keep in mind, I am reaching from 5 year old memories.

On both the RLC and 9150 units you are able to disable / enable the Diffserv Code point, so you will have to check your system through the remote office configuration manager. The Diffserv Code point is found under the IP configuration tab. I think under default config conditions the Diffserv code point is disabled. Hopes this helps

ok, so now if i enable DSCP does the 9150 need to be reset?

Apparently my memory is failing! :)

Thank you for the correct answer 9150!

help, need to know if i need to reset the 9150 after enabling the dscp.

thanks

does anyone know if i need to restart the 9150 for if i enable dscp ef?

Dont know, put a sniffer on your switch and see if your getting QoS traffic.

If yes, you don't need to reboot.

In No, then you need to reboot.
