I have a client that has 8 schools buildings linked up over Fiber. IPO412 at main host, 406 at remotes w/ 4 POTS for failover and 911. Works great.

The administrative building would like a way to be notified sim. when someone dials 911 at the remote sites. They want to basically know a) if the building is burning and b) when some little smart-@ss dials 911 from the teachers phone because that is what smart-@ss 10th graders do for fun out in the country.

Any suggestions to this? Best method or any method to accomplish?

Thanks

I use a product called eCAS from Veramark Technologies to view our CDR data. It allows me to send an e-mail with extention anytime that someone dials 911. eCAS may be a bit of overkill for your situation. I would look and see if your existing CDR solution allows you to send alerts.
