We have been experiencing a high volume of 911 calls due to the high number of contractors from out of the country. We have been asked to log these calls and I was wondering if there was a way to set up email notification for each individual incident.

For e-mail notification, you will need 3rd party software that can process SNMP traps.

If you just want to log each incident, you can configure the OSN (on site notification) feature, and put an OSN key on someone's phone, or set up a printer on a tty port with mtc in the user field.

We have the OSN enabled to both the printer and the key appearance. The company has 3rd party software for the traps however it is not in use on the Nortel. Is there a specific object id for the SNMP traps or possibly someplace I could look at a complete list. If we set it up for 911 calls we may as well build traps for other system related issues.

Thanks

You can download the MIBs from Nortel/Avaya. Contact your vendor if you do not have access.
