911 Locations

I have a multi site setup which had extensions built on each site but now they are all programmed onto the main site. The remote sites still have the IPO units out there to handle DHCP and file server so that they will have the remote IP addresses on them. All sites have IP phones and the IP addresses register to site they are on. The Locations tab for all sites are setup properly from what was given to me in the Help.

Problem now is that ever since we moved everyone over to the main site, the 911 only shows the main sites number even though I already created emergency ARS's that is created for each subnet of each site. What am I doing wrong?

Forgot to mention, each site's ARS and the Main site ARS 911's have the s(main branch number) at the end of the 911 telephone number (911s5555555).

I also forgot to mention that the PRI's (3 pri's) are located at the Main site... sorry I am panicking that this isn't working..

has anyone ever gotten the locations working while the ip phones at the remote sites are registered at the main site but the ips on the ip phones are registered to the remote branches control unit at the remote site?

the ars tables dont let you auto select the correct emergency ars.. anyone know?

Locations is for remote subnets registered to that one system, not for extns registered to other systems in an SCN with just hotdesking going on.... I believe

How can I get this to work correctly? I couldn't grasp the instructions about creating the ars to match the location set on the IP extension, which I tried and still failed..

I don't know if there is a way to even fix this..

The locations does have an emergency ARS but it is designed for local extension using a local trunk.
Not the way you want it.

I don't know if it's possible where you are, but we just tell the line provider to tag each number range with a position marker, then the provider will route 911 calls to the correct emergency service area.

Over here 911 is not a real number, they have a full unique number behind it. Like GSM calls end up at the nearest 911 call center even when abroad, this is the opposite, forcing calls to a specific "911" number depending on the tag.

Check with your provider, ask if they have emergency service routing number... they might just have what you need.
