Hello all: I am trying to understand how each line in the CLID works as well as set up the scenario where if we make a 911 call the number 2250102 displays and when we call any other number, our main number of 7386400 displays. We have several buildings all over the city but the powers that be want only our main number displayed except for 911 calls. My issue right now is that when I make a call to my cell or home, only 6400 displays. I want to see 7386400. I have not yet verified that the 911 side works properly. I will do that after I get this side working.
Here is a copy of the CLID I am playing with. Our production CLIDs are pretty much the same.

Am I at least on the right track ?

Thank you in advance

your using clid table 9, and it's set up right.. i ASSUME your going out on a pri? ld 96 enl msgo 1..

that turns on display of outbound msgs on dch 1.. now make the call so you can see what your sending.. the number you see on your cell may not be the number you are sending your provider, and it may not be the number the provider is handing off to the cell.. long shot? do you have your 4 digit ext in your speed dial on that cell.. when i get a call from anyone in my cell speed dial, it displays the name.. not the clid.. so when i get a call from home, call displays (darling wife).. if i had named that entry 4444, i would just the the ext..

It looks like you do have the Enhanced 911 feature. If you follow the NTP's on setting this up it is really simple to setup and you can pick a station within each switch that will recieve an onsite notification of who dialed 911. (This is really a nice feature since some cities will start billing you after so many 911 hangups, this way you can dial the extension and find out if it was an actual emergency or just a mis-dial and if needed head off the Police and Fire departments)
It can also override your CLID table and push out the actual set that dialed 911, that way 911 can call the exact DID that dialed 911.

Almost forgot, Telco can also have thier switch override all of your settings and push out either a predetermined number or the actual pilot number of your DID's etc.

Learned that lesson the hard way. We kept trying to get all of this setup and no matter what we did 911 dispatch kept seeing an off the wall number pushed out to them.
We finally determined that the CO was scrapping our CLID on 911 calls and inserting an old BTN.

You have to create the ESA config in LD 24 in order for the system to recognize the 911 call and use the ESA entries in the CLID table.

LD 24
REQ: new
TYPE: ESA
CUST: 0
ESDN: 911 (Emergency Service DN to call)
ESRT: x (whatever route you want the call to go out on)
DDGT: 911 (Dialed Digits)

For JohnPoole - you were right about the speed dial on my cell. Once I removed it the proper number was displayed. Do I feel dumb. I called the 911 office after fixing my cell and they tell me that I am displaying the same number to them as my cell. I am still using the CLID from top of this post.

To Marcuspb - before I do anything else as I am not feeling comfortable on this, I am going to call our provider. We use Telus but would it be them or Ma Bell that would override our CLIDs. Also could you tell me which NTP I would look at to set up onsite notification for this.

To rstew3 - which LD would I use to look at my current ESA setup, again I will wait to here back from our provider before attempting anything else.

So far - Thanks to you guys - you are all amazing. I will post my findings as this goes on.

You can view the current ESA config in LD 24 as well>

LD 24
REQ: PRT
TYPE: ESA
CUST: X

Also, NTP 553-3001-313_3.00 tells all about Emergency Services Access.

To All: I have been told by our provider that we are "missing" items out of our BARS/NARS. This is what is causing the ESA HLCL to display the wrong number. For a fee this will be fixed for us. Hopefully I will get the exact information on what we are missing and I will post this back out here. Thanks to all who posted to this. I have learned a fair amount on this issue
