I'm trying to remember what a device or system is called. I've seen them used in hotels. What they simply do is give an alert notification to the PBX Operator or to Security (or both) when someone in the hotel dials 911 on a hotel phone.

If anyone knows what the system is generally called, or even some manufacturers of them, it would help me greatly.

Regards,
Harry

You have to turn on ESA in LD 24. Then you set the OSN key on the operator or security's phone.
There are also aplications that receive an snmp trap that can produce screens pops on a computer.
There's alot that can be done even sending it to the PSAP simultaneously where emergency response knows
Where you called from.

I believe its called On Site Notification...OSN. it can give a terminal information to where the call orginated, extension . you can even progran a key on a set that will give some information. Some setup required but if you search this forum there are some posts with detailed info and more on its capabilities. there are also third party programs that expand it more.
