I know there is a way to set local notifications on the hotel's 3300 when 911 is dialed, but I have forgotten how to set it up and the manual isn't much help.

Currently, when someone (Staff or Guest) dials 911 the call is rejected. If they (Staff or Guest) dial 9911, I’ve verified that the name and the address of the hotel appears on the PSAP operator's screen but no office location or guest room number is displayed.

So what I need to be able to do is to:
[ol]
[li]Set up a route in ARS specifically for 911 calls.[/li]
[li]Have any calls placed to either 911 or to 9911 routed to the local PSAP.[/li]
[li]Have any emergency calls also notify Security and the 5550 Consoles.[/li]
[li]Have guest rooms allow 911 access even if the room is checked-out in the system.[/li]
[li]Input location information like Guest Room Number or Staff Office[/li]
[/ol]

Is there anything I have overlooked?

We have PRIs and are using version 6 software.

Thanks.

Respectfully.

1.Set up a route in ARS specifically for 911 calls.
[ul]
[li]You need to add a new entry inyour ARS dialed digits with its own Modified digit string so that the 9 is not absorbed[/li]
[ul]
[li]The ARS route needs to be unrestricted and flagged as an emergency route[/li]
[/ul]
[li]I also recommend that you add a 911x digit that denies calls. This action will induce a small delay in dialing 911 and fail if more digits are dialed.[/li]
[li]This prevents over 90% of 911 misdials[/li]
[/ul]2.Have any calls placed to either 911 or to 9911 routed to the local PSAP.
[ul]
[li]See #1[/li]
[/ul]
3.Have any emergency calls also notify Security and the 5550 Consoles.
[ul]
[li]Consoles should be notified automatically as long as the route for the call is flagged as emergency[/li]
[li]Phones can be notified if they are placed in an emergency notification hunt group[/li]
[/ul]
4.Have guest rooms allow 911 access even if the room is checked-out in the system.
[ul]
[li]Routes that are set as emergency should be unrestricted by COR and automatically allowed[/li]
[/ul]
5.Input location information like Guest Room Number or Staff Office
[ul]
[li]Extension number and Tel Dir name will automatically be displayed[/li]
[/ul]

kwbMitel - Thank you for the fast response.

"You need to add a new entry in your ARS dialed digits with its own Modified digit string so that the 9 is not absorbed." - If I understand this correctly I make the addition to the digits dialed form. But I see no option for inputting a "Modified digit string so that the 9 is not absorbed." I see the sense to doing this, but it looks like the Digit Modification Plan form is the only place to do this and I don't see where to associate an entry from that form in the Digits Dialed form.

"I also recommend that you add a 911x digit that denies calls." - With my old system I could do this easily. Will you please describe how I do this on a 3300?

Look at your ARS routes that the Ars digits Dialed point to.
