Hello,

is there anyway you can have a range of extensions in the 9000-9999 range, whilst having a 9 for the fac for ars. Same applies for 0 for attendent with 0000-0999 range.

I don't really want to go to 5-digit ext.

Any help is much appreciated.

I wouldn't do it. When I order DID's, I say no 9, 1, or 0. It's a pretty common request.

Yes you can.
Change dial-plan analysis and add 9 (and/or 0) as ext and extension length.
I would also adjust the inter-digit timer, say aprox 3 seconds. That is in system-parameters features.

The inter-digit timer is saying wait x seconds before processing the call to see if more digits are going to be dialed.

I didn't say it wasn't possible, I just wouldn't do it personally. It's just easier to ask the LEC for different DID's.

Thought it might a best to avoid.

textron68, it won't let me use the 9 range as 4 digit ext, as I have to switch from a 9 for ars first, and i cannot do that.

Think I'll take phoneguy's advice.

Don't want it to get messy

@phoneguy - the Yes you can wasn't directed to you... I didn't see your post till after I had submitted. I was just saying it is possible.
Most locations don't use it because of the complaints of the added time it takes to process the calls. Dialing 9123 and waiting several seconds before it actually dials an extension tends to make people anxious for some reason.
