I am looking to upgrade a phone system and app server from 9.1.3 to 9.1.8 and was wondering if any of you have heard or experienced any issues with this release?
Well, it's running in my lab without issue, but so is R10.
I would rather install 9.1.8 at a customer though, although I would probably wait unless it specifically addresses an issue I'm having.
Thank you Janni, yes this is to resolve an issue of abnormal terminations, i would take them up to 9.1.7 which i know is a bit more stable however im preempting sending this to Avaya and them stating their usual response of upgrade to latest SP.
Usually they want you to do it, but if they haven't listed the specific issue as solved in the release notes you might as well start with making a service request.
I'm doing this exact upgrade at the moment - PBX seems OK so far but the UCM is still in progress. One thing I noticed was some 9508 phones said "Please Wait" (wasn't a firmware upgrade) for a while, but that seems to have resolved itself.
doh! Costly mistake, put IP of UCM in during the Manager "ignition" process which created duplicate IPs on eth0 and eth0.1 - wasted about 3 hours of my day :-(
