It seems that 9.1.6 manager likes to crash every now and then, with everything greying out. The only way to close it is to kill it in processes. One of our customers is admin trained and having to explain that "it's just an Avay bug" isn't going to wash... Anyone else getting this or is it a corrupt install or suchlike?

I know manager has started asking for a password if the session times out but locking it up all together is a bit extreme :)

I haven't experienced it, I usually turn off validation cause it makes changing large configs a pain and can make the manager look as it froze.

Thanks,

It's not the freezing whilst it validates (it tells you it's doing that in bottom left corner), the whole program locks up and the close button doesnt even work. It happens most often if you don't re-enter the password when the box appears. It's like a second timeout kicks in which kills the whole thing.

I had an issue that I had to enter the password twice after timeout.

I disabled the "Enable Application Idle Timer" under File -> Preferences -> Security to get rid of the timeout.

Thanks, I didn't notice that setting when I looked to turn it off previously! (greyed out unless config is open)

We'll see if that stops it from crashing or just disables the password box from appearing

hi liquidshokk
plz do't use 9.1.6 for telephony. bcoz its basically used with ipocc 9.1.6 .
so only for telephony used 9.1.4

I'm not sure that's correct. 9.1.6 works quite fine otherwise...

Since disabling the application idle timeout manager hasn't crashed...

IPO 9.1.6 can be used without IPOCC, IPOCC 9.1.6 can only be used with IPO 9.1.6 though.

I've experienced that issue only on large server edition systems. I haven't experienced it after everything is opened and working, rather only when initially opening the config. I found that setting validation to only validate on open/save, taking my hands off the keyboard/mouse and waiting until everything is downloaded and ready to go takes care of 95% of the issue.

I never tried disabling the application idle timeout - I'll give that a shot. Stars given for that tip.

I have had that issue on 1 site when I left the Manager open with a config and didn't make any changes or clicked on anything. Very frustrating when you made some changes and go to check on something and come back and you have to do them again.

I wish it would. I disable that on every Manager but on that machine it is just moody.
freshly installed server 2012 (virtual) but it may have to do with the fact that it is used to program a Server Edition.
