I have already found a resolution for this but wanted t post a heads up.

I upgraded over the weekend to 9.0 and for the most part everything went fine. When I came into the office to double check everything I found a few sets stuck in a loop of upgrading the flash. is this somewhat common for upgrades?

I did a restore defaults on the sets and it cleared everything up. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone else runs into this.

I had a similar issue when I upgraded to Rel 8.0. The situation was that the sets had a static VLAN assigned but not prioritization. Don't know if this is the same in your case but...

once you've done an upgrade you need to load all ip devices to get the new firmware. Otherwise you can have issues

How many sets were involved with the upgrade? I ran into issues when I went to 8.0, but I chalked it up to the fact that we did 1800 sets and overloaded either the DHCP or TFTP servers (both are handled externally, not by the 3300 in this case).

Lundah are you telling us that you went to a N.0 upgrade with 1800 sets? You are brave, brave indeed. I'm afraid to put an N.0 load on my own lab switch, let alone a production box.

Why not ?
8.0 UR -> UR5 will not go live in the outside world ?
You need to keep working :)

MIMB, I had no choice, needed the increased dimensioning/cluster size. At least I was able to wait until UR3 was (somewhat) stable.
