We are currently using a the 9.1 softconsole and it is really buggy. We thought it was a PC issue but after having the same issues across multiple machines we've opened a ticket with Avaya. Tier 4 provided a patch and we still have issues. Anyone see any downside to keeping the system at 9.1.4 and using an older version of softconsole?

Its the same GUI but under the hood its entirely new code and an entirely different method of connecting to the IP Office system. Essential SoftConsole 9.1 is a version 1.0 application (with all the troubles of version 1.0 applications).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Indeed, in order to cripple Phone Manager they had to cripple Soft Console in the process. Basically in order to force people onto OXP they did this :)

And the 9.1 OXP is more crap as SoftConsole so take your pick.

A few of the issues:

The Directory begins to scroll and will not stop.
Entire "quadrants" will grey out and won't come back until the program is completely shut down and restarted.
Dragging and Dropping to transfer doesn't work at all most of the time. If it does work it goes to the wrong contact.

Open a ticket with support, there are a number of unreleased patches both on the IP Office and the Softconsole side. They are supposed to be rolled up in 9.1.5 but thats a week delayed already.

I had several issues as well and removing and then reinstalling seemed to resolve my issue, good luck

Perhaps they need so much time to write release notes for SP5 about all the known and (hopefully) corrected issues.
