350 9608G IP phones connected to an IP 500 running BBX, once the calls, which are a combo of SIP and T-1, reach 67-70 concurrent calls, the IP Office starts having awful voice quality and the 500 stops responding to pings. As soon as the calls drop below the 67-70 threshold the system operates normally. Network verified good, and pings to LAN 2 during the outage seem fine.

How many VCM channels, which codec, do you use direct media path?

A defective VCM would explain call quality issues however that would not explain ping issues.

I also think of a defective VCM card, switch the cards from slots and see what happens.

I would 1st get off of that horrible software release move down to 9 0 5 or buy an upgrade license. 9 0 6 has tons of bugs in it.

9.0.7 had a lot of resolved issues. As many I can't remember having seen in any other SP7

Narrowed down to a Core Switch that does not have enough horsepower. The switch couldn't process all of the traffic passing through it and was filling the QoS queue buckets and dropping packets. After adjusting the Qos, it helped but the Core needs to be upgraded.
