Hi. I have a 8x24 that doesn't support (and can't from what I've been told) a CallPilot 100, so I am going to put in a CICS 6.0. I was wondering if I could use the LS/DS trunk cards from my 8x24 in my CICS

Thanks,
D.W.

If you have an old 8X24 then there are no cards in it. If you are talking a newer CICS 8X24 then you can use the cards, If that is the case just upgrade the software.

The LS/DS trunk cards in a trunk module of an 8X24 are compatible with any Norstar, including the CICS KSU

That is in the trunk slots of the KSU, trunk module cards from older system Trunk Modules are not slotted to fit in the KSU.

It is a 8x24, I didn't look at it properly first. Stupid. It's Version 5 with DS

I wouldn't use the cards unless they are NT7B75's. All the older cards will not be happy in a new system.
They might not even go in the slot properly.

I have used the older cards in newer systems. It does require a bit of modification thoooo..
A pair of side cutters and a file. I have found they will work if you put the slot on the cards,
in any case what have you got to lose, if the cards don't work then you can install new ones.

There is a GOOD reason for the cards being slotted differently. The older cards pull more CURRENT. If you modify and install the cards, you just might be shopping for a new power supply next.
