I have an 8x24, DR5, that someone hung for me a couple of days ago. Sent a 2 port expansion module for the KSU, a TM, and 2 DID carts (model 5B37GA). It was explained to me that the the carts I had would not work with the software I had. I need an earlier DID cart. I scanned the web and the only thing that I can find that even remotely looks like an alternative is a 5B37 (without the GA). I spoke with another guy who knows these system and he explained that the GA should work.

Can someone help me out with this? Thanks in advance.

I just had someone walk through the status for the TM. It is on port 4 and the KSU sees it but it does not see the carts that are in it.

DR5 WAS THE LAST FOR THE 8X24 THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON WHY THEY WON'T WORK

The above DID card number works on a DR 5 system. Your difficulty likely lies in the programming or defective/unconnected/incorrectly seated parts. Suggest you hire an interconnect company to get you set up. Will ease the frustration level.

Yes is the programming done? did you tell the software that it is now a DID card and not a loop etc?

Well, I know this is a real pain in the posterior but could someone give me the a step by step? I've followed the manaul and its just not getting there.

Thanks. Here is where I'm getting hung up. My TM is on 4. It shows 0 TCs on TM4. I check the state and it is enabled. I disabled it and re-enabled it for grins. I go through and assign the lines as the instructions stated. I call the number and I get a busy.

So, my question is should it be showing 0 TCs on TM4 or should it show the 2 TCs I have installed?

By the way, I set exactly the same system on premise here so I could check it out. It does exactly the same thing. The problem is I don't have a spare DID trunk to check ring-through with.

Power down just the trunk module, put your cards in and power it back up.

I also forgot to add that when I check the state of the TC locally it shows 0 lines busy. When I check it on the system I'm having a problem with, I get the same thing.

Okay. I think this is the key. I did not go in and configure lines 9 thru 16 as DID. I also blew it by using targets 801 instead of 401 (2 port expansion module).

You guys rule! Thanks so much for your patience and help. The trick was activating lines 9 thru 14 as DID. Then the rest was a cake walk. (aside from the fact that they hadn't turned the lines up yet!). Any way, I stand educated.

Thanks again.
