I have an 8x24 , Centrex software , ports 101 - 112 equipped and working . I tried to add 8 new phones but they would never sync up , just flash forever . I can get on ports 101 - 112 with one of my new phones and it will sync up , but when I try 113 - 124 it will not sync up . I have replaced the 25 pr cable and 66 block , rebooted system , disabled and enabled ports in question , set relocation is off , still no change . Everything else on this system works fine . Am I doing something wrong or do I just have a bad KSU ?

Try disabling then re-enabling the affected stn ports. Failing this... then reinitialize to Config and bring it all up new. Make sure you leave all phones attached to the ports. You will lose your programming but as you appear not to have too much on the KSU it should not take you long to replace the info.

Also check the new phones - are you trying to use Meridian PBX phones on a Norstar, or vice-versa? They look the same, but they won't work. The first symptom is that they won't sync... Check the model numbers to be sure. Howard Dingman

Yes , they were the right kind of phones . I got one of them to sync up on one of the first 12 ports . Did a start up , swapped software , ports still don't sync . It's just a bad KSU . Next time I will sync phones up on every port I plan to use before I tell the customer it will work . Lesson learned .
